Pre-Shoot

What you need to know before your session.

  • Getting to us is simple! We’re easy to reach by road and train. For detailed directions and tips, visit our How to Find Us page. You will also find parking details on this page.

  • We understand that plans can change. If you need to postpone or cancel your session get in touch with us as early as you can. You can email us at hello@selfiestudio.co.uk or adjust via your booking link - we’re happy to work with you and find a new date that fits your schedule!

    If you are cancelling with less than 48 hours notice we are unable to refund your session.

    For our hospitality sessions we require at least 72 hours notice for any changes to your booking.

  • We understand that sometimes things come up and you might be unable to arrive exactly on time for your booking. If that’s the case, please get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can do our best to accommodate you.

    If you arrive late, it could reduce the amount of time available for your session or we may need to cancel your session. 

  • Sadly our current location is not accessible for wheelchair users or those who are unable to climb stairs.

    We are planning, however, to run sessions in more accessible studios from time to time, so if this is of interest, please do get in touch.

  • Your images will be shot at 72 dpi, which is suitable for digital use. If you require larger format files for large-scale print, please get in touch once you have made your booking.

  • Choose what makes you feel most comfortable and authentic. It depends on what you’re after… but if you're really not sure, we’ve found that well-fitted, simple clothing in neutral colours or brights always hits the mark. Try to avoid complex patterns as the camera doesn’t always love these.

    Bring a change of clothes if you want to mix up your shots, and layering is best if you want to experiment with different looks, but this won’t be possible in the 15-minute session.

  • Yes, you can bring your own props or accessories!

    There will be a few props available in the studio, such as an unbreakable glass to hold, but you're welcome to bring your own small props to personalise your photoshoot and make it specifically tailored to you. Feel free to bring hats, sunglasses, musical instruments or the tools of your trade!

  • We’re happy to welcome children above the age of 12 when accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.

During the Shoot

How to get the best out of your shoot.

  • We’re happy to welcome children over the age of 12 when accompanied by an adult and if they have been added to the booking.

    Unfortunately the studio is not a safe environment for children under 12, due to the equipment set up.

  • Absolutely! Feel free to bring a friend into the studio for support. Only those booked for the session will be photographed and any extra participants will be charged an additional fee. 

  • We know we offer a bit of a different photography experience. Explore our How it Works page to find out more about each of our packages. 

  • For any session 30 minutes or longer will allow time for you to take both seated and standing shots. Our team will happily adjust the camera to accommodate your needs. 

  • Our standard backdrop is white. Sessions of 30 minutes or more allow backdrop changes, check out Our Packages to find out more. 

  • We know the process can feel a bit intimidating but remember no photographer, no stress so do what makes you feel best. Plus there is an intercom system so you can reach out to a member of our team at any time.

  • Although we love our furry friends, we don't accommodate any pets. Thank you for your understanding. 

  • Yes, as you take the photos, they will appear on the screen in front of you, so you can constantly readjust yourself to capture your best self. 

  • In order to keep the studio's backdrop clean for your photographs, we ask that everybody removes shoes before stepping onto the backdrops. 

  • Yes, feel free to connect to our speakers in the Studio. If you can’t decide, we have some pre-set playlists, perfect to put you at ease. 

Post the Shoot

  • The number of photos you get depends on the type of session you book. Check out our Pick a Session page.

  • You will receive your images within 24 hours of your shoot Monday - Friday.

    We do offer post shoot editing including minor touch-ups and black and white edits. Explore Our Packages page for more details.

  • Our system is built with your privacy in mind and one member of our team will be responsible for ensuring your images reach you safely. Please note that all photos will be permanently deleted 30 days  after your session. 

  • Yes, the photos are in colour to ensure you get the best quality and vibrancy. We also offer black and white photos as an add-on. Please explore Our Packages page for more details. 

  • You have 30 days until your images are permanently deleted. Please ensure you request any edits within this time frame. 

  • We would love that, please tag us @theselfiestudio. 

    After your session, you will be asked if you are happy for us to share them too. But don’t worry, if you do not consent we will not share any of your images.
